Brief Character Summary: For a clan that is only a few hundred years old, Emilie is just entering middle age. Born just before the turn of the twentieth century, she was heavily into art, theater, and poetry. Her parents, being a wealthy business family from New York, disapproved of Emilie's hobbies, saying that being an actress did not befit a girl of her social standing. At the age of seventeen, Emilie ran away from home to join a traveling troupe of actors in the flourishing age of musical theater. She toured with them for six months before returning to upstate New York to try to make her way in Vaudeville. By the roaring twenties, and subsequently Emilie's twenties, she had become a struggling singer and actress. Luckily, she made it into a chorus role for a new show. One of the producers took a liking to her, and Emilie certainly liked the prospect of a well-to-do man of the arts taking an interest in her. He began to use his contacts to further her career, and she in turn got closer to him. However, she never seemed to be able to make him open up to her. There was some secret he was intent on hiding. After a few more months, the man Embraced her, and ushered Emilie into the world that he had been hiding from her. Emilie was shocked and horrified at first, though she soon got over her fears as the allure of power and possibility won her over. Learning the blood magic of the Tremere would require her to stay with her sire for a long while, so she moved in with him. As she learned about her new role as a member in the vampire community, she still continued to work in cabarets and clubs during the night. Once she had surpassed the status of fledgling and became a Kindred capable of living on her own, Emilie decided she would relocate again. As the shine of New York became duller to her, she thought Los Angeles would be the perfect place to start a life, or unlife rather, on her own.
